For 14 years Danie Heymans has been the Manager/Trainer Robotics at CFE Care for Education, an NPO and Hands on Technologies, the LEGO Education partner in South Africa.

For 14 years Danie Heymans has been the Manager/Trainer Robotics at CFE Care for Education, an NPO and Hands on Technologies, the LEGO Education partner in South Africa.
His role includes LEGO Mindstorms Robotics training for teachers and learners in house and around the country. He assists and guides schools and science centres to establish their robotics clubs.
He manages Robotics outreach projects in Townships and rural schools, guiding learners and teams to participate in competitions. He designs and runs Robotics competitions for schools around South Africa leading to participation in the WRO World Robot Olympiad.
As National organizer for the WRO World Robot Olympiad in South Africa, runs the Regional to National competitions, advises and trains in the Future Innovators Category. Head Judge for the International WRO events.
He is involved at many levels of advocacy with collaborative partners, promoting hands on and playful learning in the STEM space. At his happiest he when is in an environment where he can help learners find different ways to achieve results and enhance their development.
