Child Behaviour & Development
This course explores various types of challenging behaviour seen across different age ranges, from early years children through to adolescents. Teachers will learn the typical root causes of disengaged, disruptive and unacceptable behaviours; both observable and hidden and learn how to recognise some common triggers. The aim of this course is to give educators an awareness of child development and the opportunity to begin to think about how an understanding of how children and young people develop impacts on practice. There are two modules, namely Understanding Behaviour and Understanding Child Development.
