This course is intended for all users of the Internet who work with or care for children. Topics such as bullying, cyberbullying, social networking, gaming and many others are explored and the realisation of becoming a responsible Digital Citizen is explored.
Module One: Bullying and Cyber Safety
Bullying is a universal issue that can affect anyone, from families, to schools and communities. Cyberbullying in particular is on the rise, and its impact can be severely damaging and far-reaching. This module explores the negative effects of bullying in any form, and teaches positive strategies and solutions for those working with young people who experience bullying.
Module Two: E-Safety Risks to Children
Most children use the Internet positively but they can sometimes behave in ways that may place themselves at risk. Knowing the potential risks and being able to encourage responsible and safe use of the internet is vital to help safeguard children online.
